AAKROSH !!!

The army man was awarded the Ashok Chakra. His village people were feeling very proud and happy, especially, the school teacher. The teacher’s daughter was having love affair with that soldier, but, her father was completely unwilling to take any risk. Every month, in India, at least there are one or two cases of honor killings, mostly by the brothers or father of a daughter who belongs to a high-caste family. Economically and technologically, India has become modern but in terms of sociology, India is still in the traps of superstitions, hypocrisy, mental tortures, hatred and religious hooliganism of later Vedic Age.

The girl had love and sexual affair with three boys. Out of those three boys, she had more weakness towards one of them, to whom she wanted to get married. But her father took the decision to get her married to a boy of same caste. In Haryana, the Jats are the upper-caste tribes and still they don’t allow their girls to get married to any non-Jat person or any person from low -caste. On 24th October 2005, it was Dusshera night. Dusshera is an Indian festival which depicts the celebration of the killing of the Raavan, the demon by the Bhagawan Ram. A drama on Ramayana is popularly known as ‘Ramlila’ in Indian villages. On that night also, the Ramlila was going on. They tried to run away from the village.

The train stopped at the Jhanjar station. Pratap came to receive the Special Investigating Officer. The officer had already solved two major cases in the past. The military person was frustrated to see the kind of bad co-operation from the policemen of Jhanjar Police Station. No one has any proof or evidence. The villagers were all scared of policemen. The moment they asked them anything about the criminal case, they ran away. The army man tossed some coins on the field; after all, the little kids are still the best informers. The person, who gave some information regarding the case, was badly injured by the culprits. The little boy and his father later got murdered by the goons. What a tragedy for that village girl to see her father and brother getting murdered in front of her eyes by the people of Upper-Caste, popularly known as Jats.

The Engineer released the dam water and it was a blessing in disguise for Mr. Chaturvedi. The four-wheeler was found from that dam water, but it was not an accident. He ordered to find out the person who possesses a red colored crane in Jhanjar district. Siddhant and his friend were attacked by some goons. The Trishool was enough for them to smell the rats. Policemen were having a gala party on a night with an item bomb. They were surprised to see the CBI Officer and the Army Man. The local MLA threatened the CBI Officer to go back to New Delhi by submitting a safe report of the case. Mr. Chaturvedi was a hard nut to crack. He arrested the daughter of the sarpanch of Jhanjhar village to get some information. It was Pratap’s ex-girlfriend, who gave the vital information to track down the skeletons of those dead bodies. The CBI staffs did some drama to target the weak point of the culprits to make him a government witness. The mobile phone of MLA got tapped with the help of mobile customer care service. They lost the case initially but won it back next time, but jails were like drawing rooms for those culprits. Was there any ultimate outcome of revenge in Priyadarshan’s “AAKROSH”, which features Ajay Devgan, Akshay Khanna, Paresh Rawal, Bipasha Basu, Reema Sen, Sameera Reddy and others?
