'Government
Clearance !' 'Aur kitne soldiers ki jaan leni hain, tumhare ish
clearance policy mein ?' 'Just hold, till that bloody enemy kills
you; because that's the order !' 'Bloody Politics !' 'Jung shaheed
hoke nahi, dushman o ko shaheed karke jeeti jaati hain.' 'Kyon ki
usse pataa hain ke seema par hum khade hain aur rahenge.' 'Jeet ek
aisi cheez hain, jo khud chal ke tumhare paas nahi aayegi; usse ladh
kar haasil karna padta hain.' 'WAR AS I KNEW IT.'
Those
who kicked out Hindus from East Pakistan, themselves got kicked out
by the Urdu speaking Muslims of East Pakistan. As you sow, so you
reap. Still, those Bengali speaking Muslims were lucky enough that
they got supportive, co-operative and liberal minded nation, India in
its support. Had Indira Gandhi, the then Prime Minister of India not
taken strong actions against Pakistan, the Bengali speaking Muslims
would have never got their own separate nation, Bangladesh.
Pakistan
declared war against India in 1947, 1965, 1971 and 1999. In all the
four battles, India defeated Pakistan convincingly and after each war
against Pakistan, the strength of Indian Army improved a lot. In
1971, around 1 lakh Bengali speaking Muslims got killed in East
Pakistan by the Urdu speaking Muslims. Pakistan was more concerned
about the geographical disadvantage to have a total control on East
Pakistan. Pakistani Navy was too scared of INS Vikrant.
On
17th November 1971, in the Eastern Naval Command Office at
Vishakhapatnam, they got track of a message sent from Karachi to
Chittagong. Was Pakistani Navy planning to undergo surprise attacks
at Paradip, Vishakhapatnam, Madras and Port Blair ? V.S. Nanda
ordered S-21 to go for a secret search operation in Bay of Bengal,
though, K.T.Raman was too concerned about the aggressive Captain,
Rannvijay Singh. 'Lieutenant Commander Arjun kahan hain ?'
The
S-21 dived under the waters of Bay of Bengal on 18th
November 1971. By doing an emergency drill, Captain Rannvijay Singh
understood that his crew members are yet not fully prepared for a
war. Hence, emergency drill dismissed. The technical supervisor,
Devaraj felt somewhat disappointed as a leader of the technical crew
members. 'Jinhoney thappar khaaya, unhoney baad mein medals bhi toh
jeete.'
Poora
clear hain ! Kahin se koi signal nahi ! Wait a minute ! RAW is there
to give you the timely information about your enemies ! Commander
Razzak Mohammad Khan of PNS Ghazi did not spare an Indian merchant
ship. 'Bloody cowards !' Arjun saved the life of two civilians ! The
female civilian is a doctor ! Pakistani navy wanted Indian navy to
focus on the area where the Indian merchant ship was drowned. But,
Rannvijay Singh understood that Pakistan's main target was
Vishakhapatnam.
Devaraj
was acting like a mediator between Rannvijay and Arjun. It was
offensive strategy Vs defensive strategy. 'Sir ! Beta hua hain.'
Devaraj gave sweets to his colleagues as his wife gave birth to a
baby boy. 'Oh! Congratulations ! Kahi tumhari bibi ne tumhare
intezaar mein apne bete ko hold mein toh nahi rakha.' The Sonar
Operator confirmed the location of PNS Ghazi. Ok! Not the orders for
attacks, but, a Captain can conduct an emergency drill without
waiting for anyone's orders.
Aah!
The Indian torpedo missed the target and for the crew members of
Pakistani submarine, it confirmed the presence of an Indian submarine
in the Bay of Bengal. 'Dive to 300.' Rannvijay Singh wanted to
destroy the Pakistani submarine from the bottom of the sea. By using
Sonar at that time, it cannot detect another submarine which at 300
metres or below that level. But, at 300 metres, a submarine faces
tremendous pressure. Bad luck ! They had to surface S-21.
Pakistanis
knew that the Indians will follow them. So, they planted water mines
at the hills. Offense is still the best defense. Why Rannvijay lost
his brave son in the warfare? Shaheed hoke apni laash ke upar medals
toh bahut mil jaave hain, par dushmano ko maar ke, jung jeetne ke
baad, dil mein joh thandak aave hain, woh koi medals na de paave
hain. That's why; Rannvijay decided to destroy the Pakistani
submarine at any cost. Devaraj supported it. 'Mujhe court martial ki
koi parvah nahi.'
'Peecha
karo Devaraj, woh Pakistani magar maach ka peecha karo.' Food supply
is not sufficient. Whether they go for the final attack now or come
back to the war zone with full force after getting full supplies from
the port. Surprisingly, Arjun also wanted to go for the final attack.
'Ishne apni zabaan kab shikhli ?' 'Captain ki gun, captain ke paash
hee rahena chaiye.' The Pakistani landmine damaged a portion of the
submarine. Who saved whose life after sacrificing his own life ?
'Woh
dushman ko samandar mein hee gaarhna chahte teh, lekin unhe samandar
ko saupna padh raha hain.' Arjun motivated his crew members to take
the sweet revenge, to make those bloody Pakistanis understand the
real power and strength of the Indians. 'Humein na pehchaan milegi na
medals. Itihaas mein hum ho na ho, lekin Hindustan ke bhabishya mein
hum jaroor honge.' 'Hum uski laash bhi wapas nahi jaane denge.' 'Yehi
par gaarh denge.'
The
Indian crew members repaired the S-21 by trying their level best.
'Hum ! Hum ! Hum !' 'Janaab ! Ek aur mine blast !' So, the Indian
Submarine is still not destroyed fully. 'First rule of the war. Never
follow the expected line.' Six torpedoes fired, but, still S-21
survived ! 'Saala Commander hain ki liftman.' Indians are at 350
metres, but, still, their music can be heard ! It was a nice ploy !
Did S-21 team confirmed Indian victory on 3rd December
1971 by counterattacking “THE GHAZI ATTACK” ?
