Like any other normal day, the married woman
cum a mother of a little girl cooked food for her hubby. As usual, a dabbawala
took the olive green (bluish green color of the uniform of South African
Cricket Team or South African Flag) bag to deliver it to the desired
destination. The dabbawalas enjoy their time in the train by singing some good
Marathi folk songs. Once the dabbawala delivers all the dabbas in the Government
office, another office boy distributes all the dabbas to the proper tables. The
man who worked as a Government employee for 35 years was surprised to see such
a delicious food and that too from a restaurant. The married woman was also
happy to see the empty dabbas. Aunty, my hubby has really enjoyed the food. The
restaurant owner was surprised to hear some praising words from the Government
employee who was about to retire after one month. Bhai! Aloo Gobhi khel kar
gayi...kaal phir se wahi banaate hain. When Rajib told his wife that the Aloo
Gobi dish was delicious, the married woman understood that the dabbas got
interchanged.
It was not an easy task for a newly recruited
person to get training from a very senior fellow of Government sector. He read
the letter before eating and sent a reply letter by saying that the food was
too salty today. The very next day, she sent spicy dish. The new trainee kept
on trying hard to learn some work from the experienced guy but somewhat got
surprised to hear that the senior Government employee’s wife died many years
back. After having the spicy food, he ate bananas but did give a decent reply
through a letter. On the next day, she wrote about Deshpande aunty. Actually,
Deshpande aunty stayed with her husband at one floor above of that married
woman’s house in an apartment. Uncle Deshpande went in coma while watching a
ceiling fan of Orient Company. Deshpande Uncle ki jaan ush pankhe pe aatka hua
hain. That’s why; Deshpande aunty installed an inverter in their house. Too
many problems may arise in a married life as life has become too hectic
nowadays. Nobody has time to enjoy leisure moments or a quality life. But,
sometimes, giving birth to a second child also helps in reducing the gap
between a husband and a wife.
A married woman and a little girl committed
suicide. Mumbai is famous for its traffic jam. Nowadays, the young generation
people have become so impatient and frustrated that they don’t hesitate to
press the ABORT button of their life when they fail to achieve something. The
TV serial, ‘Yeh joh hain Zindagi’ was very famous in India. Bhutan’s economy is
down. That’s why; in Bhutan, no one is concerned about Gross Domestic Product
(GDP). But, in Bhutan, there is Gross National Happiness (GNH). Ila was smart
enough to smell the fragrance of ladies’ perfume in Rajiv’s shirt. Sir! A
restaurant is serving such delicious dishes and delivering it through
dabbawalas. Please book another dabba for me also. Nahi! Nahi! Bahut jald woh
restaurant bandh honewala hain because there is no value for talent in India! Smoking
tobacco is really a bad habit. When you will start suffering from lung cancer,
then you may start thinking that you could have smoked too many more cigarettes
to die much beforehand to avoid the painful life of a lung cancer patient. Sir!
Meri Ammi jaan used to say, ‘Galat train bhi, kabhi kabhi sahi jagah pe pouncha
deti hain’.
I don’t even know your real name. The
Government employee responded by writing his name on the letter. Deshpande
aunty, can you play the cassette of ‘Saajan’ film. ‘Mera dil bhi kitna paagal
hain, yeh pyar toh tujhse karta hain...O Saajan...Saajan.’ Shaikh used to work
in a hotel of Saudi Arabia before joining in a Government job sector of India.
Sir! In Saudi, you just perform namaaz and keep on working. There is no quality
life in Saudi. But, in India, we get plenty of time to enjoy our quality time
and to have a nice evening walk every day. Ek din aayie na mere ghar pe. Mehrunnisa
had so many relatives but Shaikh had no one. That’s why; Saajan became the
guardian of Shaikh. Ila waited at a restaurant and Saajan kept on observing her
from another table. Time and tide waits for none and Saajan was smart enough to
understand that. Saajan was too old for Ila, though, you never know; when,
where and how a new relationship evolves. Ila’s father passed away. The
dabbawala was not ready to accept that the dabba was going to the wrong destination.
Did Saajan and Ila went to Bhutan? No matter, whether you are a foodie or a
non-foodie, but, when you are hungry, you must enjoy the delicious foods kept inside
“THE LUNCHBOX”.
